Website Noel life!

Ja hier is hij dan: de nieuwe website van Noel met haar mobiles en ander kunstwerk. Gebouwd in Joomla 1.5 met JoomGallery. Noel wil haar kunstwerken aan de man brengen, daar komt natuurlijk een website bij kijken. Samen met haar ben ik aan de slag gegaan om alles te fotograferen, een logo en site te ontwerpen en alles in een content management systeem (Joomla) te hangen. Hierbij het resultaat. We zijn natuurlijk nog niet klaar, maar het eerste begin is daar!

N200 Enter ( jan- dec 2009)

N200 faciliteert de registratie en de toegang tot beurzen en congressen. Met een team van vier developers en een interactie designer hebben we een back-office systeem gecreerd dat het gemakkelijker maakt voor klanten hun account aan te passen. In het meertalige en gelokaliseerde systeem kunnen cliënten hun eigen registratieformulier, formulierstructuur, shopartikelen aanbieden, registranten en exposanten volgen, registranten en exposanten filteren, mailings maken, rollen te creëren voor de redactie en statistieken bijhouden in grafieken en datagrids.

N200 facilitates access to exhibitions and conferences. With a team of four developers and an interaction designer we created a back office system that makes it easier for clients to update their account. In the multilingual and localized system clients can make their own registration form, form flow, offer shop items, keep track of registrants and exhibitors, filter registrants and exhibitors, create mailings, create roles for editors and keep trac of statistics in charts and datagrids.

Elsevier 2009

In navolging van de opdracht begin dit jaar (Spotlight 1) heb ik voor Reed Elsevier voor een aantal charts extra functionaliteiten geimplementeerd (Spotlight 2) vanwege opgeschroefde specificatie eisen. Zo is er voor de circlemap chart die voor universiteiten en landen het spectrum van distinctive competenties (gecombineerde disciplines in de wetenschap) weergeeft een normalisatie functionaliteit gebouwd die ervoor zorgt dat de cirkels die de distinctive competenties weergeven geen storende proporties kunnen aannemen.

Hema Albumprinter Wenskaart Applicatie

Flex applicatie gemaakt in opdracht van de HEMA door Albumprinter. Een internet toepassing waarmee je een wenskaart kunt maken m.b.v. zelfgemaakte foto's en eigen teksten. Mijn aandeel was de ontwikkeling van verschillende functionaliteiten van de applicatie en het skinnen van "white label" naar HEMA stijl. Met het team hebben we een onderhoudbare dynamische wenskaart-web-applicatie opgeleverd binnen de opgegeven deadline. De applicatie fasciliteerd het uploaden van eigen foto's en toevoegen van teksten, backgrounds en kaders in een wenskaart. Daarnaast kan de gebruiker kiezen uit een 'kaartenbak' met door de HEMA ontworpen wenskaarten waar een eigen tekst aan toegevoegd kan worden. De kaart kan toegestuurd worden aan verschillende afzenders en per afzender te bepalen afleverdatum.

Flex application commissioned by the HEMA made by Albumprinter. An internet application that let you make your own greeting card with self made photo's and texts. My share was the development of different functionalities of the application and the skinning of "white label " to HEMA style.

How to get an instance of the parent List from an ItemRenderer

In Adobe Flex, instead of using parent.parent, it is not easy to get an instance of the parent List into your ItemRenderer. To do so you must implement the mx.controls.listClasses.IDropInListItemRenderer interface and add the functions

Voor Adidas hebben we met Random een multilingual AIR wigdget gebouwd waar fans hun toewijding konden tonen aan het vaderland door de schoen van de sterspeler van hun elftal te poetsen.
For Adidas and Random, we have built a multilingual AIR wigdget (mini app) where fans could show their devotion to the homeland by polishing the shoe of the star of their football team.

Playboy Viral fotoshoot

Het Nederlandse Playboy magazine heeft vanwege het 25 jarig jubileum een video viral gemaakt waarin je als fotograaf foto's mag maken van een echte playmate. Mij is gevraagd de technische realisatie te doen van dit project in samenwerking met Tim Hengeveld van Playboy. De montage van de videos werden aangeleverd door boegbeeld.com in samenwerking met Eddy Terstall als regiseur.

The Dutch Playboy magazine has because of the 25th anniversary made a viral video in which you as a photographer may take photos of a real playmate. I have been asked to do the technical realization of this project in cooperation with Tim Hengeveld of Playboy. The video was created by boegbeeld.com with Eddy Terstall as director

Samsung {Re}fresh

In opdracht van het reclameburo Quince hebben we in ruim 3 maanden (december 2007 - maart 2008) een Flex Papervision3D applicatie gebouwd waarin employees van resellers van Samsung producten in Europa trainingen kunnen volgen en examens afleggen in Samsung producten. Vanwege mijn expertice op het gebied van Flex en Cairngorm ben ik door Quince gevraagd met het team van developers te gaan samenwerken om zo het kennisnivo een impuls te geven.

Commissioned by the agency Quince we have in over 3 months (December 2007 - March 2008) built a Flex Papervision3D application where employees of resellers of Samsung products in Europe can follow courses and examinations in Samsung products. Because of my expertice in the field of Flex and Cairngorm I have been asked by Quince to work together with the team of developers to give the knowlegde level a push.

MediaRepublic ING

Voor MediaRepublic heb ik een 12 pause-animaties gebouwd in Flash 8, een carroussel van teksten van de verschillende investeringsvormen, bedoeld voor een congres van de ING bank. Hier laat ik er eentje zien. Deze animaties zijn offline vertoont op een groot projectiescherm in de congreszaal. Vanwege de zwaarte van de in te laden content kan het even duren voordat de animatie online getoond wordt.

For MediaRepublic I builded 12 pause animations, with a carroussel of texts of different investments funds, which were projected on a big screen of a ING bank congres. Here I show one. This animation is a offline executable and actualy not meant for online use, still I want to show it here, allthough it can take a while to load.

Google Calendar RSS Invoice Creator

This AIR application "Hours" reads a RSS feed from Google Calendar in which every created appointment the number of hours worked for a client represents. Each appointment has to have a title with the project name. The application filters the data based on project name (not case-sensitive), duration of appointments and date. It produces a printable invoice and a text-based summary of hours worked on the project(s).
Additional features:

-'Take a break' identifier character that subtracts the number of hours you enter behind it
-Layout tab which gives you the possibility to create your own invoice layout

]]> Use application First install Adobe Integrated Runtime, which can be found here. To use the application for your own purpose you must first have a valid Google account and create a calendar. Be aware that the 'Hours' application is still beta and no responsebility can be taken for loss of data, or damage of whatever kind. When application starts it shows the RSS settings. You have to adapt these settings to let the RSS loader point to your Google Calendar RSS url.

-Install the 'Hours' application.
-Make a new Calendar in Google Calendar where you keep track of your hours worked on projects.
-Add an appointment to the Calendar, give it a project name and drag it down for it's duration.
-In Google Calendar go to [settings] -> [Calendars]
-Click on [edit settings] -> [Calendar details]
-Here you find in Calendar address a button [xml]
-If you click on this button you get a popup with the [rss address]
-this url has to be pasted in the applications RSS settings view to get the calendar entries in the application
-When your address is right and the application finds rss entries it will automatically switch to the Invoice view.
-Add the project name in the Project list and select it, select the right period and you should see a summary of the worked hours in the Invoice.
-If you click the 'Layout' button in the 'HTML' tab you can edit the layout of your invoice.
-If you click the 'Text Summary' tab you get a resume of your worked hours in text format.

KPN Shood

Eindelijk na maanden hard werken heb ik weer tijd om een project bij te schrijven in mijn portfolio. Helaas is het een project dat ik weer niet kan laten zien. Shood bleek een speeltje in handen van een commisaris van KPN. In januari zijn we begonnen samen met Guido van Loon en Ralph Hauwert en nu begin mei zijn we klaar met de oplevering. Deze site is wederom gebouwd met de technologieen Flex, FDS, Java, Hybernate, Streamtec en SQLserver.

Finally after months hard working time to add a project to my portfolio. Sadly it's a project I can't show again, because KPN decided to stop all media activities. KPN Shood appeared to be a toy in hand of some KPN commisioner. In january we started to build the side together with Guido van Loon of FlashFabriek and in may we were ready with the delivery. This site was build with Flex, FDS, Java, Hybernate, Streamtec en SQLserver.
